arc en rêve centre d’architecture présente, du 14 décembre 2017 au 1er avril 2018, l’exposition Schweizweit consacrée à l’architecture suisse, aujourd’hui.
arc en rêve avec Schweizweit revient sur la scène architecturale européenne.
Depuis la moitié du XXe siècle, la Suisse a toujours constitué un territoire d’exception en matière d’architecture. Schweizweit interroge une évolution de la création architecturale contemporaine à l’œuvre dans ce pays, qui par ailleurs s’observe aussi en Europe, au delà des frontières helvétiques.
Schweizweit présente un arrêt sur image de la production architecturale en Suisse d’aujourd’hui. Tandis que l’image de l’architecture suisse, notamment à l’échelle internationale, reste très marquée par le minimalisme des années 1990, la réalité actuelle se révèle régionalement beaucoup plus différenciée et hétérogène.
Schweizweit constitue un véritable atlas visuel de l’architecture récente en Suisse, élaboré avec la collaboration de 160 agences d’architecture de toutes les régions du pays.
L’exposition s’est construite à partir de trois questions posées aux architectes :
– Lequel de vos projets considérez-vous comme le plus important pour la production architecturale récente en Suisse??
– Quel projet récent d’un autre architecte trouvez-vous significatif à cet égard??
– Quel édifice ou quelle situation spatiale vernaculaire vous inspire dans votre approche de l’architecture??
Schweizweit, selon Andreas Ruby, révèle avec force, le potentiel architectural positif généré par les différences culturelles, historiques, linguistiques et géographiques qui caractérisent si fortement la Suisse.
Schweizweit prend la forme d’une grande fresque visuelle qui nous entraine à travers le pays des architectes suisses.
Cette exposition conçue par Andreas Ruby, commissaire de l’exposition et directeur du S AM, Viviane Ehrensberger et Stéphanie Savio
co-commissaires, est présentée à Bordeaux par arc en rêve centre d’architecture, en partenariat avec le S AM, musée d’architecture suisse à Bâle.

From 14 December 2017 to 1 April 2018 arc en rêve centre d’architecture presents Schweizweit, an exhibition devoted to Swisse architecture today.
With Schweizweit, arc en rêve looks at the European architectural scene.
Since the second half of the twentieth century, Switzerland has been an outstanding hotbed of architectural design. Schweizweit looks at how contemporary architectural design is evolving in the country: an evolution that also can be observed elsewhere in Europe, beyond the borders of Switzerland.
Schweizweit offers a snapshot of architectural production in Switzerland today. Although the image of Swiss architecture, especially from an international perspective, remains heavily influenced by the minimalism of the 1990s, current reality at regional level is far more diverse.
Schweizweit forms a visual atlas of recent architecture in the country, produced in collaboration with 160 firms operating in all the regions of Switzerland.? The exhibition has been built around three questions put to architects:
– Which of your projects do you see as most important in terms of architectural production in Switzerland?
– Which recent design by another architect do you find particularly significant?
– Which vernacular building or spatial situation has inspired your conception architecture?
Schweizweit, according to Andreas Ruby, powerfully reveals the positive architectural potential generated by the cultural, historical, linguistic and geographical differences that so sharply characterise Switzerland.
Schweizweit takes the form of a vast visual panorama presenting the work of Swiss architects.
The exhibition, curated by Andreas Ruby, director of the S AM, Viviane Ehrensberger et Stéphanie Savi co-curators, is presented in Bordeaux by arc en rêve centre d’architecture in partnership with S AM, the museum of Swiss architecture in Basel.
