L’art de l’architecture : entre poésie et science
Pour Junya Ishigami (né en 1974 à Kanagawa, au Japon), l’architecture est un champ sans limites de possibilités infinies qui concerne chaque secteur de la vie tout en soulevant des questions existentielles et en requérant des observations à la fois scientifiques et artistiques. Outre les fantaisies de l’enfance et le pouvoir de l’imagination, le lauréat du Lion d’Or à la Biennale d’architecture de Venise en 2010 s’inspire aussi de la nature. Simultanément, sa méthode de travail est strictement méthodique et s’oriente vers l’élargissement des frontières existant entre le design, l’architecture et la géographie. L’esthétique de la concentration, la transparence, et la simplicité de ses idées, maquettes et édifices sont basées sur des processus créatifs complexes. Ishigami présente ses recherches holistiques pour trouver les justes proportions dans une publication exclusive : How Small? How Vast? How Architecture Grows.
